A major part of my role as the manager of the Europe Direct Information Relay for Lancashire, was producing a wide range of mainly print media advertising the Europe Direct service and my promotional activities as such. I produced regular press releases, newsletters and other promotional print material, as well as funding requests and reports for the EU and providing copy for the Europe Direct UK website.

The Europe Direct network is designed to be an easily accessible information portal between the public and European Union. As such each Europe Direct Information Relay provides general information about EU issues and questions and can point members of the public in the direction of further information. The manager of each Europe Direct Information Relay also promotes and advertises this service through a series of EU info events.
